Demush has 15 years of public service in the area of European integration. As a scholar under the EU master scholarship, he joined the Government as a junior officer for European integration, rising in the ranks to become the youngest-ever General Secretary in the Government. During his 6 years tenure as General Secretary of the Ministry of European Integration, he has overseen the negotiation of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement between Kosovo and EU and fulfillment of criteria stemming from the roadmap for visa liberalisation. He served three Prime Ministers and five ministers.
Further to his capacity as General Secretary of the Ministry of European Integration, he also served as Head of the Secretariat for the SAA negotiations, Secretary to the Ministerial Council for European Integration and Working Committee for European Integration, as well as co-chair of SAA Committee and 7 SAA subcommittees between Kosovo and the EU.
In his capacity as National IPA Coordinator he was Government coordinator for EU funds and all foreign assistance delivered to Kosovo. He also served as a Secretary to the National Investment Committee.
He studied business administration at the University of Pristina, with distinctions, and EU affairs at the European College of Parma. He is fluent in English and Serbian.
